For this reason it is important to read and accept our terms and conditions before commissioning any fabric printing. All work is accepted by ArtLab at it’s own discretion. We reserve the right to refuse service without explanation.
ArtLab will be liable only for the cost of the printing and will not be liable for any damage to fabrics supplied by client or any claim exceeding the cost of printing.
Our systems are calibrated to the highest industry standards but there are still colour variations to be expected with the digital textile printing process. Colour variation from monitor to the printed fabric and/or made-up product is inevitable. Fabrics vary from batch to batch and there are many variables involved. To ensure you get what you expect we suggest (especially if using spot colours) that you print a colour chart (at a nominal charge). ArtLab makes no warranty whatsoever that we can match colour exactly or that there will not be variations from batch to batch.
ArtLab’s digital printing processes require that fabric is coated with a mix of chemicals before printing for the best colour and wash/light fastness. We stock a wide range of pre-coated fabrics and recommend you select from our tried and tested offering.
We are able to coat fabrics supplied by the client. This is at our discretion. As the fabric has to be sent off-site to a third party for coating, it must be clearly understood that ArtLab will not be liable for damage to fabric supplied by the client. This is particularly important for delicate fabric, silks etc. which can be prone to damage during the coating process. ArtLab also does not accept liability for any short supply of coated fabric back from the coating plant. i.e. it is assumed that what we receive back from the coating plant is what was supplied by the client.
Artlab does not accept ANY liability for results on client supplied fabrics as there are too many variables involved and accepts no liability for replacement of any clients supplied fabric that does not react properly or give expected results.
N.B. Any fabric left at Artlab by clients for longer than three months will be sold to defray storage costs.
We accept fabrics on the understanding the client has checked the quantities personally on the rolls supplied by their suppliers. We do not accept responsibility for shortages on client supplied rolls or for fabric that is damaged as supplied.
Different fabrics will produce different wash results, and it remains the customer’s responsibility to determine and specify appropriate care labels for their final product.
We advise a gentle, cold hand wash using mild detergent only.
Avoid strong detergents, bleach, hard spinning, excessive rubbing, and any hot or industrial washing processes. Customers are required to conduct their own wash and handling tests before commencing bulk production.
Shrinkage:
Fabric shrinks. We compensate as accurately as we can on our own range of coated fabrics but will not be liable for any further shrinkage on finished products. Unless clients have commissioned and paid for shrinkage tests ArtLab will not be liable for any shrinkage whatsoever.
Standard turnaround is 7 working days from time or order, artwork and receipt of deposit. Due to the nature of the digital fabric printing process there is no warranty that we can always meet that delivery time under all circumstances. ArtLab will not be held liable for any loss the customer may incur by our not meeting deadlines.
No claim will be accepted that exceeds the original print cost of the order.
All fabric printing is also subject to the standard ArtLab terms and conditions that can be requested at any time.
