Digital pigment textile printing is a game changer!
Water‑based pigment inks are digitally printed directly onto pre-coated natural fabrics and then heat‑fixed for a soft, breathable finish. No steaming or post‑wash required so far more environmentally friendly.
Ideal for décor (cushions, curtains, upholstery and fashion runs where you want colour fastness, a natural hand, and accurate colour management. Fast turn-around On‑Demand printing means no stock holding or waste. It’s the 1st choice for eco-friendly fabric printing South Africa.
Dye-Sublimation printing on synthetic fabrics works by printing to transfer paper then and heat‑pressed under great pressure so the dye becomes part of the synthetic fibre.
Result: ultra‑vibrant colour, deep blacks, superb wash/wear/abrasion resistance—perfect for soft signage, hospitality textiles, apparel and interior poly/FR fabrics.
Supplying you own fabric is no problem for us at Artlab – we are happy to help at vey special prices. Printing on synthetic fabric has only a 1m length minimum charge.
Digital printing onto natural fabrics at Artlab is a little more complicated. Natural fabrics need to be coated with a special coating to ensure colour brightness and fastness.
They have to be sent out to a facility that has the giant coating machines and stenters. These large machines cannot feed through less than 25 m – so any client supplied natural fabrics need to be at least 25m in length. There is also a R35 per meter coating charge on top of our normal pricing. Get an instant quote by clicking below.
