What is the maximum scan size?
Technically, our flatbed accommodates a single capture area of 1.5m x 1.1m. However, using advanced “tiling” techniques, we can seamlessly stitch sections together, allowing us to digitize originals exceeding 5m in length. The scanner is also built for depth and weight. We can scan 3D objects up to 15cm high and the table is robust enough to hold massive items—we’ve scanned everything from antique doors to 250kg granite blocks.
How big are the scan files?
File sizes vary depending on the dimensions of the original artwork and the resolution required. However, due to the extreme detail captured by the Cruse scanner, files can be massive often reaching 2GB or more.
Recommendation: Please ensure you bring a high-capacity USB stick or portable hard drive when collecting your files.
