frequently asked questions

Everything You Need to Know

Absolutely. We exclusively use the finest cotton rag papers and canvas available. Our media is pH-neutral and acid-free, ensuring maximum stability and longevity. By pairing these substrates with genuine Epson UltraChrome inks, we can offer a 150-year guarantee against fading or yellowing (when displayed under normal indoor conditions, away from direct sunlight).

Our German-engineered Cruse Scanner is a remarkable piece of technology and the only one of its kind in South Africa. We believe that a flawless reproduction starts with a flawless digital file; your print can only be as good as the original scan. Setting the global standard for excellence, this device captures your artwork with unmatched detail and colour fidelity.

  • Unrivalled Resolution: Scans at an incredible 1.5 billion pixels.
  • Versatility: We can scan originals up to 1.5m x 1m (and larger with tiling).
  • Convenience: We can scan framed works directly through the glass.

The Result: The best fine art reproduction in South Africa, bar none.

Strictly speaking, “Giclée” is just a French term meaning “to spray”—describing the inkjet process. It does not inherently guarantee quality or archival stability. We prefer the term Archival Fine Art Print. Unlike the vague “Giclée” label, our definition guarantees the use of specific cotton rag papers and certified pigment inks that meet international conservation standards.
